Summer Art Camp at Home: Shaping Stories

July 24, 2020

We are bringing Summer Art Camp to you. The de Young’s team of teaching artists has created a variety of art projects in long and short videos for this week’s Summer Art Camp: Shaping Stories.

Art can tell us stories about beliefs and experiences, places real and imagined, and past times and future hopes. Find out how to tell a story through collage, watch the Art Talk about artist Louise Nevelson, discover how to conceal and reveal your story by embossing with foil, make a painting with a messagecrack the Maya code, and watch storytime on artist Ruth Asawa before drawing with wire.

Join us! We would love to see what you create! Email pictures of your artwork to families@famsf.org or tag us on any social platform with #deyoungsters.
