Printworks presents newly acquired works on paper from Crown Point Press, Paulson Fontaine Press, and artist Ed Ruscha. All have substantial print archives at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and continue to give new editions each year. Crown Point and Paulson Fontaine Press invite artists from across the United States and around the world to make intaglio prints at their Bay Area presses. Los Angeles–based Ed Ruscha has been making prints with California presses (including Crown Point) for over 50 years and recently began editioning small-scale bronze sculptures. Together the works on view highlight the rich tradition of printmaking and collaboration in California.
