Bouquets to Art 2022

Our annual display of artwork-inspired floral installations is back in the galleries this year, celebrating the summer season with a new palette of fresh flowers. Now in its 38th year, Bouquets to Art offers new ways of engaging with the permanent collection. Stroll through the de Young this June and you’re sure to find inspiration in every corner.

While the galleries are blooming, don’t miss the festive Opening Night, as well as the luxury raffle, and elegant luncheons throughout the week. Head home with a fresh arrangement from the flower cart and take part in engaging lectures with renowned designers and authors, including:

  • Tuesday, June 7, 2 pm: Remco van Vliet, third-generation Dutch Master Florist and celebrated creative force behind the colossal arrangements at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
  • Wednesday, June 8, 10 am: Lauren Palmor, assistant curator of American art and author of Bouquets of Art: A Flower Dictionary from the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Book signing immediately following the presentation.
  • Wednesday, June 8, 2 pm: Gregor Lersch, world-renowned Master Florist, prolific author, and celebrated teacher.
  • Thursday, June 9, 5 pm: Justina Blakeney, best-selling author, artist, designer, and founder of Jungalow. Book signing immediately following the presentation.

Proceeds from Bouquets to Art help underwrite exhibitions, conservation projects, and education programs at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
