Veils 1
1974
Not on view
The veil in this print series was made from Tatyana Grosman's scarf, which she had left behind in the ULAE workshop during one of Rauschenberg's late night experimental working sessions with a photomechanical camera. Rauschenberg decided to use the scarf in his investigation of how a three-dimensional object looks flat through the use of light and dropped it in various positions onto film that had been placed on top of emulsified stones.
