The Grand Master or Adventures of Qui Hi? in Hindostan, A Hudibrastic Poem in Eight Cantos by Quiz (London: Thomas Tegg, 1816)
Not on view
This book is a harsh satire on the performance of Francis Rawdon Hastings, the Earl of Moira, as the Governor-General of India, and on the behavior of evangelizing Christian missionaries in India. The name of the main character Qui Hi translates as 'Is anyone there?', and was used as a summons to servants in India.
