Quathlamba I, from the V Series

Stella's prints invariably correspond in their imagery to his paintings. The prints in the V Series are essentially smaller versions of the striped paintings of the Notched-V Series of 1964-1965. However, the color schemes in the prints are not congruent in every instance with the paintings. They are titled variously with names of places in South Africa, such as Quathlamba and Ifafa.
