Nurse and Baby Bill, No. 2
ca. 1889-1890
Not on view
Along with Degas and Pissarro, Mary Cassatt showed etchings in the fifth Impressionist exhibition (1880). Although her enthusiasm waned somewhat in the ensuing decade, she renewed her passion for printmaking around 1890, when she produced a substantial body of soft-ground etchings, drypoints, and her renowned series of ten color prints, known as The Ten.
