1872
Not on view
Founded in 1870, The Portfolio was a London-based art journal that published original etchings by a number of continental printmakers. The title of the journal was selected for its connotation of a collection of lasting value. Félix Bracquemond's etching The Hare appeared in its pages in 1872, two years before being exhibited in the first Impressionist exhibition of 1874.
