Muni to Legion of Honor

Muni riders save $2 on adult museum admission. Simply present your valid Muni FastPass or transfer to the cashier when purchasing your admission ticket.

18 Bus

Board at the SE corner of 33rd Avenue and Geary Boulevard or 33rd Avenue and Clement Street. The 18 takes you up Legion of Honor Drive and stops directly in front of the Legion of Honor.

1 Bus

Stops at 33rd Avenue and Clement Street. From there, you can walk one block west to 34th Avenue and up Legion of Honor Drive. The walk from 33rd Avenue and Clement Street to the Legion of Honor entrance is approximately half a mile.

38 Bus

Stops at 33rd Avenue and Geary Street. From there, you can walk two blocks north and one block west to 34th Avenue and Clement Street and up Legion of Honor Drive. The walk from 33rd Avenue and Clement Street to the Legion of Honor entrance is approximately half a mile.

SFMTA’s Essential Trip Card is a discount program that helps seniors and people with disabilities with transportation needs. SFMTA has advised that the Essential Trip Card can be used for trips to / from the Legion of Honor. 

From the north (US 101)

Cross the Golden Gate Bridge heading south. Take the 19th Avenue / Park Presidio exit immediately after exiting the Toll Plaza. Take Park Presidio south to Geary Boulevard. Turn right (west) on Geary. Take Geary to 34th Avenue. Turn right (north) on 34th Avenue into Lincoln Park.

From the south (I-280)

From I-280 take 19th Avenue north into Golden Gate Park. Stay left after crossing Lincoln Avenue into the park. Bear left onto 25th Avenue. Take 25th Avenue north to Clement Street. Turn left (west) on Clement Street. Take Clement Street to 34th Avenue. Turn right (north) on 34th Avenue into Lincoln Park.

From the east (I-80)

From the Bay Bridge, take I-80 west to the 9th Street exit. Take the 9th Street exit and stay on 9th past Market Street and Van Ness Avenue, when it becomes Hayes Street. Continue on Hayes to Franklin Street. Turn right on Franklin. Then turn left onto Geary Boulevard and take Geary to 34th Avenue. Go right on 34th Avenue into Lincoln Park and drive to the Legion.

Free parking is available in the lots in front of the museum and along the north side of the building.

To avoid auto break-ins, please take all valuables with you and check that your vehicle’s doors and windows are locked.

Bike parking is available near the museum in the locations shown in the following map. Please lock your bike securely. Bikes are parked at your own risk. FAMSF is not responsible for loss or damage.
