Beyond the Paint: Teen Podcast

September 18, 2018

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s Teen Advisory Board is composed of ten high school students who plan, host, and promote teen events to their communities. Our teens see the de Young and Legion of Honor museums as places to unite and support one another through exploring important social issues. The 2018-19 Teen Advisory Board wrote and produced a podcast called Beyond the Paint (2019 Gold Muse Award winner). The first season of focuses on the exhibition Contemporary Muslim Fashions at the de Young. The podcast explores themes of modest fashion, individual expression, social media, and global exchange. As you listen to the podcast, you’ll hear perspectives and experiences from Bay Area Muslim teens and get a personal audio tour of exhibition with questions to provoke wonder and spark conversations.
