Lhola Amira: And Then We Gathered, Here

The heart sutra says
The body is empty, and emptiness body.
All things are only empty.
Nothing is born, nothing broken.
As things end, things begin.

For the future is embedded in the past, so is the past to the future, and somewhere the present is the middle child always looking back and facing the future. And we ought to consider that perhaps the future is tired of being host to the past while the present is haunted by the past.

What do we do, if time no longer wants to bend and occupy our gestures? What do we do, if time collapses?

And Then We Gathered, Here is both a goodbye and a welcome. It is a way to sit in grief and mourn what couldn’t be, and open up to what can be. It is a signal for us to end here so that we can begin again.
