The text of Du cubisme was, when first published in 1912 (without this illustration), the first theoretical investigation of the Cubist movement. Early editions included art reproductions, but this deluxe edition combines text with original prints by such Cubist leaders as Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Albert Gleizes, Jean Metzinger, and Francis Picabia.
