Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Announce Temporary Closure Effective November 28, 2020

SAN FRANCISCO, CA—The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF), comprising the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor, will again close temporarily due to San Francisco’s assignment to California’s purple tier. The closures will be effective at 8 pm PST on Saturday, November 28, in accordance with the recent mandate from the City and County of San Francisco.

The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and visitors is our highest priority, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our galleries at a future date.

During this temporary closure, we will continue to offer numerous opportunities to stay connected with the Museums, including virtual events, Museums From Home newsletters, podcasts, social media content and more.

The de Young and Legion of Honor museums will close today, Saturday, November 28, at 8 pm. We hope to reopen to the public in the coming weeks.
