Join us for a film screening in celebration of the Legion of Honor’s centennial year. Featured films include Alfred Hitcock’s Vertigo and Adam Shankman’s The Wedding Planner — both shot on location at the museum. 

Schedule

11 am

Vertigo (1958) 

Alfred Hitchcock’s film starring James Stewart and Kim Novak features the Legion of Honor as a major filming location. The museum’s Gallery 6 was used for the fictional “Portrait of Carlotta Valdes.”

2 pm

The Wedding Planner (2001) 

In The Wedding Planner, the Legion of Honor is the backdrop for a romantic scene. The film stars Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey who stroll through the museum’s courtyard. 

Admission info

Free program. Theater doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the program. Seating is limited, unassigned, and first come, first served. Admission to the theater program does not include admission to the special exhibition or other galleries in the museum. Every Saturday, we offer free general admission to all residents of the nine Bay Area counties; additional fees may apply for special exhibitions.
