About Benjamin Yates

Benjamin Yates is a calligrapher who specializes in both pointed pen and chisel-tip styles. He is also a watercolor artist and an engraver. His works, often illuminated in 24 karat gold, draw inspiration from the Medieval and Renaissance periods. He commissions work for grand declarations and commemorations, and finds that sunlight, sand, and shadow on the beach are great mediums for ephemeral lettering.
