Members are invited to book tickets to preview Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm before it opens to the public. Each ticket includes entry to the exhibition as well as all permanent collection galleries at the de Young on the day of your visit.

Celebrate the opening of the exhibition and catch a glimpse into the meteoric rise of Beatlemania through the lens of Paul McCartney, who documented The Beatles’ first trip to the US from December 1963 to February 1964 with his 35mm Pentax camera. McCartney’s photographs constitute a visual diary of this pivotal moment in popular culture, offering new perspectives on the band, their fans, and the early 1960s.

  • Member preview takes place February 27–28, 9:30 am–5:15 pm. Separate reservations are required for each day.
  • Ticket includes entry to all permanent collection galleries at the de Young on the day of your visit. 
  • Present your ticket at the gallery entrance for admission into the preview.
