Leadership Circle, Patrons Circle, and exhibition sponsors are invited to a reception honoring Wayne Thiebaud: Art Comes from Art. Donors will enjoy private gallery time, and a cocktail reception with light bites and entertainment from 7–9 pm.
Celebrate the opening of the exhibition and explore Thiebaud’s career as a self-described art “thief” who openly drew ideas from and reinterpreted old and new European and American artworks. The exhibition features approximately 60 quintessential works by Thiebaud that offer an in-depth exploration of one of the most important and overlooked aspects of his creative practice: his passionate engagement with art history.
