The Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts holds a remarkable collection of prints and drawings by French avant-garde artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864–1901). This lecture takes a closer look at the collection, including vibrant posters of famous Parisian venues in Montmartre and rare, poignant drawings of the circus made at the end of Toulouse-Lautrec’s tumultuous life. It also features our 2025 acquisition of a unique 1893 color lithograph of American dancer Loïe Fuller, an influential figure in the Legion of Honor’s founding.
