Surpassing a goal of 100 gifts of art to mark the Legion of Honor centennial, the Gifts of Art campaign (2022–2025) garnered over 2,000 gifts of art from 275 generous donors. Close out the Legion of Honor 100 with a lecture from director and CEO Thomas P. Campbell, who will discuss major works of art acquired during the campaign, and the civic tradition that the campaign embodied.

A Closer Look: Gifts of Art

Thomas P. Campbell has served for over 15 years as director and CEO of two major US art museums — the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 2009–2017 and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco since 2018. He has dedicated his life to the preservation, study, and promotion of art as a gateway to human understanding.
