Join us in celebrating the transformative power of art. All proceeds raised by the Annual Gala benefit a dynamic exhibition schedule at the de Young and the Legion of Honor, the care of our collection, and impactful and engaging educational and community programming for audiences from the Bay Area and beyond. The evening includes a seated dinner, an honoree program, and Late Night — the gala’s after-party featuring full access to our galleries, playful pop-up activations throughout the museum, plus a headliner musical performance.

Sir Isaac Julien 

Honoring artist Sir Isaac Julien, whose first major US retrospective will debut at the gala, and celebrated philanthropist, tireless champion for the Bay Area’s vibrant cultural landscape, and former trustee of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Dagmar Dolby.

As this is a benefit for the Museums, tickets are nonrefundable. You must be 21 or older to attend this event.

In accordance with IRS guidelines, in order for the Museums to accept payment from a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) or foundation for their fundraising event purchase, payment must be for the full value of the tickets, with a second method of payment for goods and services provided from either a personal or corporate account. The goods and services amount cannot be subtracted from the package or ticket price. Please consult with your tax advisor or DAF sponsor regarding rules governing any DAF or foundation distributions.
