We are honored to invite Champion level and above members to join us as our guests on October 8, 2025 for a very special black-tie dinner celebrating the 20th anniversary of the “new” de Young.

As we come together to celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the bold transformation that brought the “new” de Young to life. In 2000, the museum closed its doors to undergo a visionary redesign by Herzog & de Meuron — one that honored its storied past by preserving beloved features like the iconic sphinxes, palm trees, and Pool of Enchantment. Five years later, the reimagined de Young reopened, ushering in a new era of art and cultural connection. This October, we look forward to celebrating 20 years of that remarkable legacy with you — an evening of reflection, gratitude, and inspiration.
