This delicate image, rendered with the fine dots of the stipple technique, has the softness of a Rosalba Carriera pastel portraits. It belongs to a two-volumes series of sixty heads, the Raccolta di Teste, published in 1774 and 1775 and reproducing drawings and paintings by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo and his sons, Giovanni Domenico and Lorenzo Tiepolo, who provided the drawing for his father's portrait.
