This print depicts the interior of an historical art class run by the American painter and teacher Robert Henri, located in an old school building at the north-east corner of Fifty-seventh Street and Sixth Avenue in New York City. Henri is depicted behind the easel at far left, John Sloan, seen from the rear and wearing glasses, at the easel. Bellows to his left, wearing black bow tie.
