From the imagination of Surrealist Leonor Fini, the costume designs on this two-sided drawing are for characters in Le rêve de Léonor (The Dream of Leonor). Choreographed by Sir Frederick Ashton, with music by Benjamin Britten, the ballet follows the story of a bald girl in pursuit of a beautiful blond wig, a subject that came to the artist in her dreams.
