The tassel headdress usually consists of three layers: tassels on top, a row of concentric circles in the middle, and spear-point or thorn designs underneath. There are often emblems or glyphs at the feet of the figures. These emblems may be the names of high-ranking individuals who had the stature to wear the tassel headdress.
