The Fine Arts Museums' collection of ancient art includes antiquities from throughout the ancient Mediterranean world and the Near East, including Greece, Rome, Egypt, Assyria, and Mesopotamia. Objects on display in the galleries include pottery, sculpture, and metalwork. In addition, the Museums' Ancient Hellenic Arts Council (AHAC) conducts and sponsors regular lectures, programs, and presentations that deal with archaeology and the ancient world.
