Information About the ImageBase for Artists If you have work in the collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and would like to see it in the Imagebase, please send an email to afox@famsf.org indicating that you "grant the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco a non-exclusive, limited right to display works of yours on our Website." We see the Imagebase as a basic catalogue of our public collections and would like very much to provide access to everything in the collections.
If you have work in the collection and it's already in the Imagebase and you haven't given us permission, we're very sorry. Due to the sheer number of objects in the collections (82,000 of 110,000 objects in the Imagebase already) and incomplete documentation, we sometimes make mistakes. If you would like to give us permission to leave your work in the Imagebase, please read the paragraph above. If you would like us to remove your work from the website, please send an email to afox@famsf.org with sufficiently specific information for us to remove the right objects.
