Visiting the de Young The de Young museum, a favorite of San Francisco residents and visitors since 1895, is located at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive in the heart of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
John F. Kennedy Drive in Golden Gate Park is closed to traffic on Saturdays from April 4 through September 26, 2009. John F. Kennedy Drive will be closed from Tea Garden Drive to Transverse Drive, and street parking within the park will be severely limited. Tea Garden Drive will be open for drop off and pickup of passengers. Paid parking is available in the Music Concourse Garage, accessed at 10th Avenue and Fulton Street, or Martin Luther King Drive and Concourse Drive. Museum visitors are encouraged to use public transportation.
For people with disability placards one accessible parking space will remain on John F. Kennedy Drive near Tea Garden Drive, four are located in the tour bus parking lot across from the Japanese Tea Garden, and four are on Martin Luther King Drive just west of Tea Garden Drive.
