The de Young museum, a favorite of San Francisco residents and visitors since 1895, is located at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive in the heart of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.

Permanent collections:
Tuesday through Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Fridays until 8:45 p.m. mid-January through November

Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibition:
Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m.–6:30 p.m. daily (last ticket at 5 p.m.); Fridays until 8:45 p.m. (last ticket at 7:30 pm). Mondays reserved for school group visits, 9 am–2 pm, except December 28, when the exhibition is open to the public.

Closed January 1 (Tutankhamun exhibition only open 9 am–6:30 pm), Thanksgiving Day, and December 25

The museum closes at 3:30 p.m. on December 24 and 31 (last King Tut ticket at 2 p.m.).

Admission
Adults $10, Seniors 65 and over $7, Youths 13-17 $6, College Students with ID $6, Children 12 and under FREE.

Admission tickets to the de Young include same-day general admission to the Legion of Honor (special exhibition fees not included).

First Tuesday of each month is FREE. Special exhibition fees, including those for King Tut, still apply.

Muni riders with Fast Pass or transfer receive a $2 discount.
